Fresh masa, slow-braised fillings, and a menu built on family recipes — a few blocks from Logan Square.
"We didn't want to open a restaurant. We wanted to open our kitchen."
Tierra Cocina started as weekend pop-ups out of a Logan Square garage in 2019 — arepas cooked on a flat-top griddle for neighbors who missed home. Four years later, we're still using my mother's recipes, still griding our own masa daily, and still cooking like it's for family.
Every dish on this menu has a name and a story behind it. Ask your server — we love to tell them.
